My taste in reading material is wide and varied: SF/fantasy/"speculative fiction", mysteries (police procedurals, mostly), history, fanfic, straight fiction, smutty vampire books, biographies, poetry, cereal boxes, assembly instructions, the fine print, and your mind.
Daughter of God
Covers some of the same ground as (and keeps getting connected to, for some reason) The DaVinci Code - the underlying question is about the existence of a female historical figure from the days of early Christianity - but the writing and plot development are much, much better, and Perdue didn't appropriate his storyline wholesale from another writer.
