All the Time in the World
My taste in reading material is wide and varied: SF/fantasy/"speculative fiction", mysteries (police procedurals, mostly), history, fanfic, straight fiction, smutty vampire books, biographies, poetry, cereal boxes, assembly instructions, the fine print, and your mind.
Night of the Jaguar
Not quite 4 stars. This third novel featuring Miami police detective Iago "Jimmy" Paz brings some previous pieces of his backstory back around to tie up some loose ends. Not nearly as compelling as Tropic of Night or Valley of Bones, but very good nonetheless - I mean, where else are you going to find a "cop story" that includes discussions of dualism, materialism, Santeria, and environmental activism?
